Have a creative idea you'd love to bring to life but aren't sure how to fund it? Thinking about applying to Arts Council England but don't know where to begin?
Whether you're developing a new project or looking to invest in your own creative practice, this workshop is the perfect place to start!
Join Declan Westwood, Visual Arts Relationship Manager at Arts Council England, for an informative workshop exploring Arts Council funding. Declan will introduce the work of Arts Council England, explain the funding opportunities most relevant to artists and small creative projects, and guide you through the Project Grants and Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) programmes. He'll also share practical advice on the application process and what makes a strong funding application.
There will be plenty of time for questions throughout the session, and afterwards Declan will stay for anyone who would like an informal one-to-one chat about their own project or funding ideas.
Based in the Midlands, Declan works closely with artists and organisations across the region, providing funding advice, assessing applications, and supporting creative projects to grow.
Whether you're applying for the first time or looking to strengthen a future application, this is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from someone with first-hand experience of the Arts Council funding process.
