Vincent Louis Stokes is a visual artist and poet currently living and working out of the West Midlands, UK. Broadly speaking, his work employs aesthetic devices such as gesture, countenance, symbolism and allegory to articulate and amplify the quiet complexities of the environments he inhabits.
With the Artist’s Studio, he seeks to illuminate the unmemorable. In so doing, his drawings serve to acknowledge the ethereal nature of the commonplace. He aims to reconcile the transcendental notions of self with the aesthetic of the everyday.
