Mothers Who Make Birmingham Hub
Every 3rd Friday of the month, from 12:30pm
Cafe Stryx

Join Charlotte Bailey for the Mothers Who Make Birmingham Hub at Stryx Play Cafe in Jewellery Quarter.

Inspired by the global Maternal Journal community, this is a regular drop-in maker space for parents who have been holding onto artefacts from pregnancy, birth and the early years. Participants are invited to express experiences on the page while discussing their creative practice, with children welcome to co-create in the space. Open to all.

During the workshop, participants will have materials, time and space to express and reflect on their parenting journey through creative making.

The sessions also function as a monthly peer-support environment, offering space to explore creative practice and identity alongside caring roles with other parents and caregivers.

There will be an opportunity to scan and collate pages created during the sessions into a print publication in autumn/winter.

While every Mothers Who Make hub shares a common ethos and practice, each evolves according to the needs and interests of the local artists attending. Participants are invited to help shape this growing movement.

Every third Friday of the month, depending on capacity, please check our website and socials for updates.
