Applications deadline 23/09/24 12pm.
Stryx are excited to announce a new artist residency program designed specifically for mother creatives with children aged 0-5 (pre-school).
Through this programme we want to support and will prioritise mothers who are currently without a dedicated studio space. Our programme is to support the professional development of mother artists / creatives allowing them time and space to return / re-engage with their practices, while encouraging creative experimentation. We understand the unique challenges of balancing artistic practice with caregiving responsibilities and aim to support and value both roles equally. This residency aims to alleviate some obstacles, by providing a fully funded, supportive space for creative work and reflection, as well as a developmental environment for your child.
We invite applications from mother creatives who are ready to return to their professional practices in a space that prioritises both their artistic and personal growth, as well as the wellbeing of the children. We will prioritise applications from professionals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and underrepresented communities.
This residency will be awarded to 4 mother creatives / artists. We welcome applications from all creative and artistic backgrounds.
The residency will take place between October 2024 - February 2025
