Stryx is presenting PRESSURE COOKER: Soup ptVI residency featuring artist Paul Newman's solo exhibition. Newman, an artist from Birmingham, has worked alongside renowned artists and curators such as Ian Mona Casey and Craig Ashley. His artwork has been showcased in various venues across the country, including Stryx Gallery and Eastside Projects. Newman's impressive exhibition history includes Contemporary Masters from Britain, a touring show across five museums in China in 2017, as well as a solo show titled Stage at Mac Birmingham in 2015. Paul is a member of Contemporary British Painting.

The Stryx gallery will present painting, objects and live performance, exploring personal themes in relation to romantic and haunted notions of ruins; of architecture, the body and the mind.’
