Stryx Annual Residency Programme 2026
Stryx are excited to announce new opportunities to participate in our Annual Residency Programme.
Mothership Residency. Stryx invites applications for The Mothership Residency, a fully funded opportunity for mother artists and creatives with children aged 0–5 (pre-school age).
We welcome early- and mid-career mother creatives from any discipline who are ready to re-engage with their practice in a supportive, child-inclusive space. This residency is specifically designed for those without access to dedicated studio space and childcare access. We will prioritise applicants from underrepresented and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

DEMO: Early career musician callout. Stryx invites applications from musical groups and individual artists in the West Midlands. This opportunity would allow free access to a fully-equipped and comprehensive recording/rehearsal space onsite at our Art Gallery/Cafe.
This opportunity is tailored towards music artists of all kinds, and inclusivity is a primary goal. Neurodiversity is encouraged, welcomed and celebrated, aligning with Stryx's philosophy towards inclusion. We will prioritise applications from those who identify as neurodivergent.
Whether an artist is interested in producing a professional-grade demo, or simply wish to develop their abilities in order to thrive in a live or studio setting, this studio space at Stryx is designed specifically to fulfil all needs. The West Midlands is a frontier of incredible talent and we welcome artists from as wide a variety of musical backgrounds as possible.
